The community advisors are not a formal committee. However, we host an annual breakfast for advisors. We keep them informed about labor relations in the Dubuque area. We listen to their views about the impact the Council is having: what we're doing right, what we could do better, and what we could be doing that we haven't thought of. Such forums are idea-generating opportunities for us, as well as a chance for other leaders in the community to find out more about the Council, its member organizations and their representatives. |
The community advisors are on our mailing list to receive our newsletter and other communications. They are invited to attend our membership meetings and other programs. |
Their commitment is to provide us with insight, advice and other support, and to call on us whenever they have any ideas or concerns, or to assist us whenever they find themselves able to, so that we can become an effective community and labor relations organization. |
